Retired electrician unveils 271 unknown works by Picasso

Retired electrician unveils 271 unknown works by Pablo Picasso Picasso is widely considered the most important painter of the 20th century, and also one of the most prolific artists of all time, having produced over 13,000 paintings or designs, and well over 100,000 prints. He was also reported to be extremely generous, giving some of his works to friends and familiars. But, was Picasso so generous as to give hundreds of works to his electrician?]]>

In what might be one of the most important and shocking art discoveries in decades, a retired French electrician and his wife claim to be the owners of 271 previously unknown works by Pablo Picasso

The works, including several paintings and sketches created by Picasso before 1932, had been sent by Pierre Le Guennec- a retired electrician- and his wife to the Picasso Administration headquarters in Paris, France, in order to authenticate the works.

The couple have declared that the 271 works are a gift made by the artist in exchange for “well-done jobs” made at his Côte d’Azur home many decades ago. However, the heirs of Pablo Picasso do not believe the story, and suspect that the works could have been stolen

A generous gift or a blatant theft? Let’s leave to the discretion of the judges to determine which version is the true one
