In the Art World, few exhibitions generate as expectation as those devoted to Ancient Egypt, a land of legends and mysteries that captivates our minds till today. From March 28th to July 9th, the Metropolitan Museum of Art from New York will organize an exhibition devoted to Queen Hatshepsut: “Hatshepsut: form Queen to Pharaoh”
ABOUT HATSHEPSUT
Hatshepsut was an Egyptian Queen from the 18 th dynasty, who rules from 1503 to 1482 b.c. Daughter of King Tuthmose I, she directed many campaigns in Nubia and Syria, and built a large number of buildings, most notably the funerary temple at Deir el-Bahri. Her mummy has still not been identified.
