The exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery of London is conceived as a loop, structured around pairs of works that mirror each other.

Many of the works displayed at the exhibition use live performance as their starting point or lead to a performance. “Answer Me” (2008) was filmed in the dome of an abandoned surveillance station designed by architect Buckminster Fuller. The press note of the exhibition explains that “the dome’s distinctive echo, triggered in the film by a man playing the drums in the large, empty space, drowns all the dialogue spoken by the female character, with the exception of the words that give the film its title“. In addition, two films “deconstruct” and “reconfigure” a well-known punk song: “Should I Stay or Should I Go” by The Clash
