‘Blind Date’ is not the first exhibition of the artist at the Espacio Mínimo Gallery. In 2008, the gallery presented ‘On display’, a personal interpretation of the history of art.
Now, the gallery explains that “[Berning’s] pictorial universe has been broadened, focusing on pictures taken from mass media sources (…) The result is a conglomerate of representational and abstract motives, arranged like a mobile, made specifically for the main gallery.”
About the artist
Anne Berning was born in Werl, Germany, in 1958. She has been the subject of several individual exhibitions, including those at Kunsthalle Bremerhaven, Städtische Galerie Waldkraiburg, and Center of Contemporary Art in Málaga. She has also participated in distinguished collective shows and important art fairs such as ARCO in Madrid, Art Basel MiamiBeach, Art Forum Berlín, or SHContemporary in Shanghai.
