February 2006 – The National Gallery of London is organising an exhibition entitled “Americans in Paris , 1860- 1900” that will show some of the most famous works by well-known American artists who worked in Paris during the second half of the 19 th Century. The exhibition will be shown at the Sainsbury Wing from February 2 nd to May 21 st

The exhibition includes some of the most famous works by masters such as John Singer Sargent ( “Madame X” ) or James McNeill Whistler ( “White girl” )

Americans in Paris en el Metropolitan Museum

La National Gallery de Londres acoge desde el 22 de febrero hasta el próximo 21 de mayo una exposición que, bajo el descriptivo nombre de “Americanos en Paris, 1860- 1900” , mostrará algunas de las más famosas obras de los grandes maestros norteamericanos que trabajaron en Paris, entonces la meca del Arte, durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX.

La exposición incluye algunas de las obras más famosas de pintores tan sobresalientes como John Singer Sargent ( “Madame X” ) o James McNeill Whistler ( “White girl” )
