Featuring nearly one hundred works, the exhibition “Alighiero Boetti. Game Strategy” covers the entire career, from 1966 until his death in 1994, of this Italian artist, often considered one of the most important representatives of the art movement “Arte Povera”.

Among the most important pieces in the exhibition is a large selection of the “Mappa” series (1971-1994), described by the Museum as “the most popular works made by the author”.

After its show at the Reina Sofia, the exhibition will travel in 2012 to the Tate Modern in London and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. These two institutions, along with the Reina Sofía, have collaborated in creating the exhibition catalogue, in English and Spanish, which includes over 140 images and essays by the curators.
