Národní Galerie (National Gallery of Art), Prague – Czech national Art museum, with an important collection of Western painting, including “Bonjour Monsieur Gauguin” by Paul Gauguin.

Finland

Ateneum Art Museum, Helsinki – Its collection of international art includes works by Delacroix, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Munch or Modigliani

Germany

Kunsthalle, Bremen – One of the best art collections in Germany, its collection includes works by impressionist artists like Cézanne, Monet or Van Gogh, and modern masters like Picasso

Neue Pinakothek, Munich – Offers an overview of European art from classicism to art nouveau, including Gauguin and van Gogh

Ireland

National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin – Exhibits an important collection of European paintings, including “Argenteuil Basin with a Single Sailboat” by Claude Monet

Hermitage Museum, Saint Petersburg – the largest Art collection in the world. Among its highlights are included Van Gogh’s ‘White house at night’ or Matisse’s ‘The Dance’

Switzerland

Kunstmuseum, Bern – A very important collection of European painting, including ‘Maestà’ by Duccio di Buoninsegna, and works by Manet, Cézanne, Monet, Pissarro, Renoir or van Gogh

Beyeler Foundation, Basel – This small but rich museum exhibits the art collection of Hildy and Ernst Beyeler, with works by van Gogh, Monet, Cézanne, Picasso, Bacon and Warhol, among others

Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge – The collection of the Cambridge University is one of the most important in England, with works by Monet and Moore, among others

Museum of modern Art (MOMA), New York – Houses the world’s best collection of modern and contemporary Art, featuring Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Picasso’s Demoiselles d’Avignon

Guggenheim Museum, New York – Designed by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The Guggenheim Fundation has also important galleries in Bilbao, Venice, Berlin and Las Vegas.

Museum of Fine Arts, Boston – is one of the most respected Art institutions of America. One of its highlights is Gauguin’s ‘Where do we come from? Who are we? Where are we going?

National Gallery of Art, Washington – features a complete collection of painting from the 13th to the 20th century. Exhibits a fabulous self-portrait by Vincent van Gogh

Dallas Art Museum, Dallas – Exhibits a good collection of Asian Art, Egyptian Art and European painting, including works by van Gogh, Gauguin and Monet

J. Paul Getty Museum, Malibu – arguably the world’s wealthiest Museum, with an important collection of antiquities, paintings, and manuscripts. Works exhibited includes van Gogh’s Irises

Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) – includes a small collection of impressionist and modern paintings, such as a “Nympheas” by Monet and a Blue-period Picasso

Norton Simon Museum, Pasadena – Houses a collection of Art from Egyptian culture to Impressionist and modern Art, including works by Degas or Van Gogh
