After those devoted to Philippe Parreno (closed on 13 February 2011,) Anish Kapoor (closed on 13 March 2011) and Nancy Spero (closed on 2 May 2011), the Serpentine Gallery continues its 2011 season with another multi-disciplinary exhibition, now featuring London-based artist Mark Leckey.

The exhibition includes “GreenScreen RefrigeratorAction”, a 2010 performance and film work that will be remade at the Serpentine. According to the Serpentine Gallery, this work “explores the idea of being in constant communication with every aspect of our environment and the sense that all things have life imbued within them”.

Another impressive installation is “BigBoxStatueAction”, 2003-2011, featuring a stack of speakers facing a large modernist sculpture. The speakers broadcast a specially created sound piece, which, as the press release says, “attempts to elicit a response from the opposing sculpture”.
