February 2006 – The National Gallery of London is organising an exhibition entitled “Americans in Paris , 1860- 1900” that will show some of the most famous works by well-known American artists who worked in Paris during the second half of the 19 th Century. The exhibition will be shown at the Sainsbury Wing from February 2 nd to May 21 st

The exhibition includes some of the most famous works by masters such as John Singer Sargent ( “Madame X” ) or James McNeill Whistler ( “White girl” )
